TRY THIS EASY 3-STEP SELF-CARE ROUTINE TO HELP YOU THROUGH DIVORCE

When you’re going through a separation or a divorce, taking the time or spending the money to indulge in self-care might seem completely impossible. But what you might not realize is that self-care doesn’t actually have to cost a single cent, or even take up very much of your time. Ultimately, self-care is about taking a pause to do what you need to fill up your cup — to make you happier, calmer, and healthier.

So instead of spending all of your energy on planning an elaborate spa day, try focusing on how you can refuel your soul in simple, regular, and consistent ways each and every day.

To start, try this simple 3-step plan to help you prioritze taking the time to care for yourself.

Choose 1 of the following when you wake up:

●       Read something inspirational

●       Stretch and move your body

●       Drink half a litre of water

Choose 1 of the following during the day:

●       Take a 20-minute walk

●       Listen to music

●       Nourish your body

Choose 1 of the following to wind down at the end of the day:

●       Journal about your feelings

●       Meditate and rest

●       Take a hot bath
